About Me: 

• 10 years of experience working with clients impacted by severe and complex trauma. I have acquired expertise in treating: symptoms caused by childhood trauma, adoption and foster parenting,  attentional struggles (ADHD), problems with motivation, self-esteem, dissociation, psychogenic seizures, depression, and anxiety. Another area of my expertise is healing from spiritual trauma. I have also helped clients who have struggled with hoarding behaviors of various degrees of intensity. 

• Experience treating and advocating for clients who experienced medical trauma throughout my career. It has become my specialty to assist clients in developing a support system to get their medical needs met as well as to process and heal from traumatic medical experiences.  

• Personal experience: 22 years of recovery from drugs and toxic relationships. I understand what it is like to feel powerless and hopeless and fall into the same ruts again and again. I have found therapy to be very helpful to facilitate freedom from pain and resistant patterns that hold you back. 

•  I am committed to offering a safe, nonjudgmental, and supportive space for my clients to heal and make life changes.
  I sincerely enjoy what I do because it is a passion and a way of giving back. 

       Training and approaches to therapy :

• Clinical training and expertise include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Family Systems, Solution Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy.

• I am a Christian and upon request will integrate faith and prayer in sessions. While I operate from a Christian worldview and enjoy helping people connect with God, out of care and respect, I do not impose my beliefs or opinions on clients. 

• Familiarity and ongoing expertise in utilizing Internal Family Systems; and combined with a Christian approach to healing. 

• 12 Step model for any problems in life including habits, hurts, and hang-ups.
